Commencing on July 1, 1972, the Firm was established by David Coomber with the assistance of his late father George Coomber who had been an Accountant and Businessman since 1946. Discipline, hard work and entrepreneurship have been the hallmark from that time on.
Specialising initially in Taxation Accounting and Business Advice Services, the Firm grew rapidly over the years and as a sign of the Firms qualities, it still retains some of its earliest clients from the early 1970’s. That is not to say that it does not seek to innovate as times change. Indeed as new technologies become available, they are readily embraced to ensure that clients receive the best service possible at an affordable cost.
In 1987, specialist Financial Planning was introduced to provide an additional range of services. This extends to Superannuation, Pension, Risk Insurance, Finance and Mortgages.
The Firm has in more recent times provided Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Self Managed Superannuation Fund Administration and Audit as the needs of clients become more involved and complex.

In addition to his role as the Principal of the Firm, he has the management and control of a small Finance Company, a Real Estate business as a Licensed Real Estate Agent and management and control of a large share portfolio. This vast range of knowledge and practical experience is available to clients to better assist them when they most need it. He is a Director of several large Companies and sporting organisations and has interests in many other outside activities.
Sandy joined the Firm in March 2003. Her particular expertise is in the various Accounting Software applications that the Firm utilises. These include MYOB, Class Superannuation Software and more recently Saasu, Xero and HandiSoft. Her great ability is to guide people through their many varied problems with a quiet and efficient manner. And she just loves looking after Self Managed Superannuation Funds!
Kristie joined the Firm in August 2005. She has developed her own unique style in dealing with the many and varied roles that she now covers. From Tax Returns, general accounting, financial and Estate planning, she delivers in a quiet and efficient manner. Kristie is invaluable. Kristie is also a Commissioner for Declarations in the State of Queensland.
Elly joined the Firm in January 2011 as our most important role of receptionist. Elly recently completed her Bachelor of Accounting and is now working toward completing her CPA. She brings her own unique style to all that she does with her bright and bubbly personality. The Firm is fortunate to have Elly.
We welcomed Chloe to the Firm in September 2015 in the key administration role. She has progressed rapidly in so many areas and is now responsible for a range of client services. Chloe has recently completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and is now working toward completing her CPA. Chloe is also a Commissioner for Declarations in the State of Queensland.
